Do I Need A Fishing License To Fish In The Chesapeake Bay On A Private Boat?

Probably. There are some exceptions. Some chartered fishing boats pay a fee for their customers so you do not have to buy a license to fish say while on vacation. If it is a chartered fishing boat ask the boat owner.

    Unless you are fishing on private property such as someones private owned lake then you do have to have a fishing license.
