San Diego Fishing, What Types Of Fish Are Best To Catch Right Now? What Tyoes Of Lures Should I Use?
Im guessing you mean saltwater so i would bring hooks (#2- 3/0 live bait hooks) and sinkers (4-10 oz torpedo) because it is mostly rockfish right now. You could try bringing some salas 6x jigs in scrambled egg because there are a few random yellow tail but it will mostly be baitfishing. If you have the right gear then get a few shimano lucanus jigs. They kick a$$ for rockfish but only if your gear is similar to this (doesnt need to be the same just similar) :http://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-calc…
and http://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tesc…
Get yourself some really good fishing gear. Like someone said bait is also really important. Make sure you use locally caught bait. If in doubt why not ask a local?
Try out this site for really good sea fishing tackle its a great help for hints and tips, fishing reports, and also has a Yahoo group where you can ask this same question amoungst a group of helpfull fishermen.http://www.highlandtackle.co.uk
