I am interested in getting into fly fishing because I have a vacation home close to the white river and I was wondering what do I need to do? What is a good entry level rod and reel combo? I have seen one by White River Fly Shop at bass pro for under a $100…. Also how could I learn? Books, DVDs, or Lessons??

Suitable Present For Someone Who’s Into Fly Fishing?
I know I’ve left it a bit late but I need to buy a Christmas present for my sisters boyfriend who’s just come over from Australia for a holiday.
Apparantly he’s really into fly fishing and making his own stuff for it – can anyone suggest a present that I could get him….and maybe a site where I could purchase it.
(I know absolutely nothing about fishing I’m afraid !)

How To Turn A Fishing Pond Into A Fishing/swimming Pond? What Can Be Used To Clean It And Not Harm The Fish.?
i know this……. its a blue dye that doesnt kill the alge but it makes the water blue and cleaner looking and then theres this straw thats pretreated for the alge killing and its safe for fish and humans.
which would be the best line rating to go for rod wise and what lenth and how many sections should the rod be,
for someone wanting to start out mainly resevour fishing but maybe a little river fishing thrown in for good measure.

how, i am just getting into saltwater fishing, how do i string fish with a fish stringer?
i see the straight needle like end of the string, then all up and down the string there are “rings” that open, how do i attach fish to these, and since i am fishing in the gulf, is it safe to just string the fish and let them swim freely until i leave?
I am moving to Pennsylvania, the so called fly fishing capitol of the us, and think it sounds really fun. I am a big ocean fisherman, i own a boston whaler 24 outrage and and getting pretty good at ocean fishing. What should i buy and where do i buy it.
