as long as you are fishing from your privet property then you do not in most states. However the laws may very per state. I would go to google and look up your states “department of conservation” you can then either call them or look on their website to get the correct answer. This way there is no doubt, and you will be 100% sure.

yes, a kayak in sc is considered a water craft in sc therefore a salt water liscenses is required, a flotation device such as a jacket or vest is also required in your possesion. the rules on a kayak doesnt very much from a boat. scdnr has all the rules on line. on the beach no licenses is required. although check your hand book on this.

Probably. There are some exceptions. Some chartered fishing boats pay a fee for their customers so you do not have to buy a license to fish say while on vacation. If it is a chartered fishing boat ask the boat owner.

If I have my NORTH CAROLINA fishing license for fresh waters, am I allowed to fish salt waters using this same license or would I have to obtain a license for salt waters as well?

Does A Person Need To Have A Fishing License If He/she Is Going To Fish 40-80 Miles Out In The Gulf Of Mexico?
